Our History

Francisco E. Barzaga Integrated High School is one of the largest social investments of the City Government of Dasmariñas. It is an institution where growth is anchored to its commitment of continuing the legacy of an effective management and leadership. The improvement of the school is a fruit of collaboration of internal and external stakeholders involving them fairly over education processed by entrusting them with authority, responsibility and accountability in governance and curriculum implementation translating Deped’s vision into a high-quality outcome.

FEBIHS started with 24 classrooms in a three-storey building inaugurated on May 29, 2015 led by Dasmariñas City Mayor Jennifer A. Barzaga and Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr., witnessed by the Regional Director Dr. Diosdado M. San Antonio, the city Schools Division Office headed by Dr. Manuela S. Tolentino and Dr. Emmanuel L. Resurreccion, together with invited school heads, selected Barangay Officials, and hundreds of Dasmarineños.

On its first year of its academic operation marking the premier school year 2015-2016, Mr. Ryan C. Villanueva, the officer in charge, now its Principal Teacher II, oversees the full implementation together with the 31 pioneering teachers who at that time were borrowed from the Congressional National High School, served the 1,080 total students from Grades 7 to 10.

The City Government of Dasmariñas allocates the following from the City General Funds for the said school: Purchase of the land for school site; 10,344,000.00, Purchase of road right-of-way; 630,000.00, Construction of three-storey (18 CL) School Building with Covered Court; 40,984,926.81, and Construction of another three-storey (18 CL) School Building; 34,926,269.23.

Being known as the only public integrated school offering junior and senior classes in the heart of the city, its enrolment increases every year up to the present close to 4,000 students considering the entry of the Senior High School offering ABM and HUMSS Strands under Academic Track and Arts & Design Track. Banking as the only school in Dasmariñas offering an Arts and Design Track paved way to accept learners outside its catchment barangay areas.

With the school’s growth and development continues on its progress, Congressman Atty. Elpidio F. Barzaga, Jr. lobbied from the National Government support fund with the total of 30,787,635.98 for the construction of four-storey (20 CL) school building. Another four-storey (20 CL) school building was constructed under Basic Educational Facilities Funds with a total of 52 classrooms. On the other hand, 24 ancillary rooms were designed for laboratories for science, TLE, ICT, drafting and electrical classes, special studios for dance and music, library, Audio Visual Room (AVR), and operational offices fitted to meet the needs and demands of the learners.

The infrastructure of FEBIHS is an avenue to the entire academic force of talented and skillful 29 Senior High School(SHS) teachers and 108 Junior High School(JHS) teachers together with the committed support services personnel as one with molding our 21st learners enhancing both the academic and non-academic skills, promoting personal development and life learning equipped with leadership, skills, social and ethical responsibility, learners who will bring pride and honor, the legacy continues as they will serve as agents of change in our society.
